Sophie's 20 years later

In 2018 I was crowned Miss TLi and I won it on my first attempt - and first Eastbourne event for that matter - dressed as "Minnie Mouse", and after being a judge in 2019 there was something that stopped the following 2 years' events taking place... I can't quite remember what that was though??

Anyway Miss TLi returned in 2022 and I decided to enter again and 'be the first person to ever win in twice'. I was even wearing a dress that gave a little nod to my winning Minnie Mouse costume. Things didn't quite go to plan though, and I came in a close second this time - losing out to the lovely "Jessica Alice." (I think had I just worn the ears, things could have been different.)

One thing that was the same as when I won though was one of the prizes being a makeover at Sophie's, which I was very pleased with, as it meant another trip to Plymouth to see my good friend Juliette who runs Sophie's.

Now I first visited Sophie's (in Bath at the time) in 2002 for a makeover, and was a regular there for several years, after visiting both of Juliette's houses. When I say 'both, she moved - she didn't own two houses at the same time.

When I first visited, the only other makeover I'd had - to give me any idea how I'd look as a woman - had been from Transformation in Bristol. So 2002 was really the year Nina was born.
