How do you craft the perfect matrimonial home when you and your partner are both introverts? Considering their need for quiet downtime and personal space, Ying and her husband planned their interiors accordingly. They opened up the kitchen for extra breathing room and arranged for the wardrobe to be in a separate space from the bedroom to avoid disturbing each other in the morning. The most impressive part—they did it all without an interior designer, taking on the project on their own.
“Having an interior designer would have been helpful, but we knew what we wanted for the house based on our living habits,” shares Ying. “I had a detailed mood board for the design and even the nitty-gritty details, such as how the aircon piping should run. With all these details already planned out before getting our flat, we decided to go with just a contractor and save some money.”
