What does art mean to you?

For me, art can mean many things- a safe place to express oneself, capture a feeling or release memories. Art is so dynamic and can be thought of as a parallel to life.

What was the major motivation behind your collecting art?

I started collecting when I was building my home and my passion for art grew along with my collection. At some point, we had enough works which meant I would need to put the artworks into storage. That's when the idea of a museum began to emerge that would enable me to continue building my collection and also share the beautiful pieces of art with a wider audience. At KNMA our mission is to make art accessible to people from all walks of life.
