Designer Ritu Goregaoker of GA design creates a spacious and elegant Mumbai home defined by eye-catching focus elements

LIVING AREA
It took three months to design the TV wall aka the wood balusters of the staircase. Coated in grey PU finish, the wood gives way to toughened glass on the next level. Pastel blue, covering the MDF ribbed storage wall, was a client-specific request. Behind the wall is the kitchen. In the forefront can be seen a portion of the living room and the grey Armani marble floor. Get the look Get similar sofas at The House of Things. Blue Loft has similar velvet armchairs. The pastel blue walls are reminiscent of morning skies and the winter waters of the Arabian Sea. Brass and glass accents, and mirror-polished marble floors reflect the sunlight streaming in through double-height windows, while the sea breeze sweeps in from across the shimmering Mahim Bay. It wafts through the cross-ventilated home, which is dressed in attractive detailing, in the form of geometric patterns, trimmings of furniture and furnishings, hinting at refinement of personality. Designer Ritu Goregaoker of GA design says, ‘The interiors of this home are a true reflection of the nature of its primary owner... calm, easy-going, family-oriented and classic.’
