It is not just brick and mortar that has kept Ar. Samira Rathod busy since graduating in architecture from Sir JJ College of Architecture and University of Illinois. Samira started her own practice called SRDA in the year 2000 with a small farmhouse project. Today, her firm has completed architectural and interior design projects of varying scales, across the country. In the intervening years, she has worn multiple hats including those of photographer, teacher, author and also editor of SPADE. Her latest hat being that of a furniture designer introduced to the market under the name of The Big Piano. ‘We compose furniture,’ says Samira.
