DRAWING ROOM

A medium-sized space, the drawing room gets its airiness from its double-height ceiling. Highly detailed decor, in the form of furniture as well as artefacts, create visual interest. Gold and silver highlights, combined with high-gloss surfaces, and a crowning chandelier, come together to create the desired luxe appeal. All accessories in the home are from the Beyond Design Mystic Secrets collection of 2019, as well as Beyond Design Home. The carpets are from The Carpet Cellar.

THE OWNER A large close-knit traditional family, wherein each sub-family unit has been accorded a separate living space.

THE PROPERTY

AS part of a larger, 15-year-old family home, this 3,500 sq ft, opulent space is spread across two levels: 1,000 sq ft and 2,500 sq ft. The new layout has a drawing room, with a separate bar area, two master bedrooms with ensuites, a bedroom for the teenage daughter, a study and a powder room.
