Blackheath Pottery is the perfect destination for ceramics, coffee and cakes in the countryside of the Causeway Coast.

Handcrafted & Homemade

Ceramic artist Babs Belshaw has returned to live and work outside Coleraine and has opened her new pottery in the courtyard of Grade-II listed Blackheath House, near Aghadowey.

‘I was born in Belfast and lived there until the age of four, when we moved to the Isle of Man to live until we returned to Northern Ireland again when I was 14. My parents purchased Blackheath House, which is full of historic connections and dates back to 1791. At the time, they renovated the main house but the outbuildings, which now make up the pottery studio, shop and coffee shop, had been left untouched,’ Babs explains.
