VIBRANT AND IMPACTFUL, EMERALD GREEN IS A JOYOUS HUE THAT CAN DELIVER DIFFERENT LOOKS – THINK UPBEAT AND MODERN AND EVEN CLASSIC AND REGAL. HERE, INTERIORS INSIDERS REVEAL WHY THEY ARE EMBRACING THIS JEWEL TONE
This showstopping green was inspired by the neoclassical architect and designer Karl Friedrich Schinkel. Wall in Schinkel Green, £49.95 for 2.5ltr, Annie Sloan
‘Emerald green packs a full but at the same time an understated punch. It can transport you to the cool tiled floors of Marrakech or to the traditional drawing room of a late 18th-century Georgian mansion, and it’s being used more and more in interiors today. This colour works with anything and is bang up to date.’
DAVID HARRIS, design director, Andrew Martin
‘Don’t fight a room being small and dark: often it works really well to embrace strong colours instead. A striking yet warm green on the walls will have the effect of creating an intimate and cosy space.’
KATHARINE PARAVICINI, founder, Katharine Paravicini Interior Design
