There is no room for superfluous decorations in this holiday home where Scandinavian principles rule the interior. This explains why only the necessary and essential furnishings are in place.

Softened by curved, rounded and white furniture, the living room is perfectly illuminated with natural light. This space also houses a terrazzo centre table that brings in pops of earthy colours to enhance the furniture palette.

After studying interior and architecture at CEPT, Gayatri Gunjal went on to pursue industrial product design in NID, Ahmedabad. She then went on to work with large companies before heading to Italy to further pursue her education. Following her return in 2012, she freelanced for a while and then founded YellowSub Studio to quench her entrepreneurial thirst. An umbrella studio instead of a personal name involves niche architecture and design projects including product design. She foresees it becoming a consortium of like-minded talents working together to explore diverse avenues within the field.
