The future is here but it doesn’t seem to fit in the back of my jeans. The Samsung Galaxy Fold weighs down my handbag, too, but oh how novel is this revolutionary device? With bigger being better, the design centres around a flexible AMOLED display, unfolding from a smartphone into a tablet. When you’re ready to put the phone in your bag, you fold it shut, and it morphs into a sleek, shiny gadget. Given how we use our smartphones today, from watching Netflix to shooting holiday photos, the Galaxy Fold has so much to offer in one clever design.

UNBOXING THE DEVICE

First things first, Samsung has nailed the premium unboxing experience. I discovered that the smartphone comes with exclusive access to Galaxy Fold Premier Service that includes one-on-one assistance with Fold Concierge and protection coverage with Samsung Care+. If that isn’t great customer service, I don’t know what is. Plus, some added goodies to level up the experience with a fast charger, a pair of Galaxy Buds (Samsung’s RM499 wireless earbuds), and a slim yet durable phone case.
