While it may be time to say goodbye to the archetypal 'GirlBoss-may she rest in power and pink, business suit profile photo in tow-we need not bid farewell to the dream chasers anytime soon. We're talking about the ones who have turned passion to pay cheque and haven't refused their deep inner calling. Currently, India ranks third in the world as a start-up hub with over 90,000 startups and 107 unicorn companies. Entrepreneurship has truly entered the zeitgeist with shows such as Shark Tank India gaining popularity and start-up gurus finding many followers on social media. As I set out to uncover what it really takes to Find Your Purpose', loaded words that may seem empty to anyone who hasn't jumped on the work-for-yourself wagon, I figured that I (being a self employed writer and podcaster) relate most to these passionate folks and their relentless hustles. A sweet sigh of relief, because this coveted club is where I feel safest! Maybe this is what Ananya Bhandare-she's a holistic health coach and founder of Indian superfood snack brand, Jungly Delights-meant when she spoke of relying on the support of other founders regularly as a helpful habit she has as an entrepreneur. Most of them are women, she added, further disbanding any archaic notions one may hold of alpha females not running in packs. Turns out, founders are a tribe of their own, creating space for each other while they multitask their way to innovative ideas, better sales, and more visibility for their brands.
