There’s no denying that social media is a legit way to meet future bae. And not everyone you meet online will turn out to be a creep—but there’s a very high possibility that you will (sorry) come across a f*ckboy. Here’s how to deal...

10 Signs You're Dealing With A F*ckboy On Social Media

FIRST UP: RECOGNISE A F*CKBOY.

Urban dictionary defines a f*ckboy as ‘a manipulating d*ck who does whatever it takes to benefit himself, regardless of who he screws over. They will screw over anyone and everyone as long as they get what they want’. You’re thinking of one from your past RN, aren’t you? He’s someone who strings you along by giving you just enough to stay hooked (whether it’s sex, a few dates or sexts), but will never really be yours.

Typical F*ckboy Behaviour We Wish Would Stop NOW

1 HE KEEPS SLIDING INTO YOUR DMs.

You’ve politely asked him to stop, or ignored him completely, but he’s relentless in trying to get your attention. Guys who troll women from behind their screen are lonely and insecure. They’re looking for some (any) type of response—so don’t give it. Ignore his messages and move on. If he doesn’t get the hint, report and block him. This way, the social media platform also knows he’s not listening to you (and is bordering on harassment).

2 HE SENDS YOU D*CK PICS WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.

An unsolicited d*ck pic that appears out of nowhere is invasive— and offensive. While you might just want to ignore it, there are three things you should do: (a) report him and (b) Block him, but (c) keep the pictures as evidence. If you, the recipient, are under 18, it’s a criminal offence [for someone to send you a d*ck pic]. If they persist through other mediums or on other platforms (it happens), or if you want to press charges, you’ll need these pictures as evidence.

3 HE INSULTS YOU, BUT THEN ASKS YOU OUT.

'Femininity' Is Coming for Your Feminism

In the recording studio, Allie Beth Stuckey sits on a cream sofa, her blonde hair perfectly tousled. She leans into the microphone and speaks. She's chatty and fun, interspersing the serious with the silly and, at first glance, she's just like any other podcaster. In many ways, Stuckey's entire brand is built on being a regular 'girl's girl'. Her hair is impeccably blow-dried, she hates matcha, wears floral dresses, and throws in pop culture references like she's just another millennial on group chat. Her podcast is called Relatable and that's exactly what she wants to be to her listeners. But Stuckey isn't just here to chat. She's here to convert.
