DCI John Barnaby and DS Jamie Winter are embroiled in the darker side of the sport in a new episode of ITV’s Midsomer Murders this week, as death stalks a high-flying rugby team.

Businessman and ex-rugby player Mark Adler (Nicholas Goh), the owner of the Causton Lions rugby team, is found frozen to death in a cryotherapy chamber used by the players to help with injuries.
