The people of Earth face a battle for survival following an alien invasion in a new sci-fi series based on HG Wells’ novel The War of the Worlds.

Set in the early 1900s, the first episode of this three-part drama follows George (Rafe Spall) and his partner Amy (Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson) as they start a new life in the quiet town of Woking.
