The West Wing screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is behind the new Netflix film The Trial of the Chicago 7, based on the true story of one of the most infamous court cases in US history.

The events begin in the summer of 1968, when the Vietnam War was claiming the lives of 1,000 US troops a month, and the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr and Robert Kennedy had left the country divided.
