Halloween may be over, but prepare to be terrified anew this week when horror character Chucky gets his own TV series.

The eight-parter is based around the creepy red-haired doll who first frightened us in 1989 movie Child’s Play before causing carnage in several sequels.

Set in New Jersey, the drama sees bullied gay teenager Jake Wheeler (Zackary Arthur) buy Chucky in a yard sale to use in his high-school art project.
