What would you do if you found out that the world was going to end in five years’ time? In the gripping new thriller Hard Sun that’s the situation facing a pair of mismatched London cops, played by Jim Sturgess and Agyness Deyn.

When DCI Charlie Hicks and his new partner DI Elaine Renko look into the suspicious death of a conspiracy theorist, they find themselves in possession of some top-secret intelligence about an extinction-level event that will wipe out life on Earth in five years’ time.

As well as coming to terms with this shocking news and making plans for themselves and their loved ones, the two must also deal with the fact that they are now on MI5’s most wanted list, and will be shot on sight if they are found.

The six-part drama series has been written by Luther creator Neil Cross, who says he found the inspiration for his ‘pre-apocalyptic thriller’ while listening to music.
