Fans of Gossip Girl will be glad to see Penn Badgley back on screen when he takes on the role of a sinister stalker in Netflix’s new psychological thriller, You.

MALEVoLENT RoLE The 32-year-old is best-known as Dan ‘Lonely Boy’ Humphrey – who was finally revealed to be the scheming blogger called ‘Gossip Girl’ in the popular US drama.

Now, the Baltimore-born actor is back on our screens in an even more malevolent role, as softly spoken New York bookstore manager Joe, who becomes infatuated with one of his customers.

When aspiring writer Beck (Elizabeth Lail) visits the bookstore, Joe is instantly smitten, but his crush soon becomes an obsession. He begins trawling Beck’s socialmedia accounts to discover more about her, lurks outside her window, and eventually manipulates her into dating him.
