9-1-1’s LA firefighters go to Texas to tackle a wildfire in a thrilling crossover episode

When a wildfire rages out of control in Texas, members of the 118 firehouses in Los Angeles arrive in Austin to join their counterparts in tackling the blaze in the very first crossover between 9-1-1 and its spin-off series, 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Following Lone Star’s launch last year, a crossover episode was always a possibility, says Tim Minear, co-creator of both shows.

‘I loved the idea of doing it,’ he says. ‘It was just a matter of if we could come up with an idea that fits.’
