Battle Princess Madelyn

A passionate homage to an arcade classic.

There’s no denying that Battle Princess Madelyn, an action-platformer with a colorful 16-bit aesthetic, is influenced by Capcom’s Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. Not only does the titular battle rincess have to fight through waves of undead monsters by hurling an endless supply of spears at them, she even has the same comical knees-in-the-air run as Arthur. But this is, unashamedly, an homage to that series, and developer Casual Bit isn’t trying to hide it.
