DRIVEN to despair by the agonizing side effects of Lasik surgery, a popular TV meteorologist in Detroit took her own life last month — and her heartbreaking death is the latest in a string of suicides following the common vision correction procedure.

Bubbly blond Jessica Starr had a picture-perfect life with a successful career, a happy marriage and two young children — but after the elective surgery, the 35-year-old was stricken by disturbingly dry eyes and foggy sight.

“I have to use a lot of drops. When the drops are in, I can see clear, but then they fade pretty quickly,” she explained in an online video.
