First ALS Breakthrough in 20 Years!

FOR the first time in more than 20 years, the Food and Drug Administration has approved a drug to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)!

The breakthrough new treatment for ALS — also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease — is called edaravone and slows the progression of the killer degenerative disease.

Scientists in Japan found ALS sufferers who received edaravone saw the decline of their daily functioning slow down compared to those on a placebo.
