IF YOU ARE one of those parents who cringe each time they buy a candy bar, a milkshake powder, a toy or a doll for their child and find themselves surrounded by pink and blue, you have my sympathies. Colour coding or using specific motifs to define what’s good for your ‘little girl’ and what’s not for your ‘brat’, has many wincing, of late. The idea of gender neutrality is garnering strength, and more and more parents and brands want to understand how to sensitize children to it.
