Fifteen years after the finale of his hit sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, Ray Romano, 62, still embraces his self-deprecating sense of humour. After recently appearing in films The Irishman and Bad Education, the actor and comedian has been spending time at home with his wife of 32 years, Anna, and their four adult kids – which of course has given him some new material.

Why do you think Raymond still resonates with so many people?

Unfortunately, it’s because they saw themselves in it. People like to laugh at themselves and know that we’re all sharing those same good times and bad times.
