Abigail wakes up in the hospital after surgery and finds Chad at her bedside. “For Chad to be the first person that Abby sees when she wakes up is really powerful,” shares Marci Miller (Abigail). Chad is overcome with emotion that she’s going to be okay and pours his heart out, stating that he will never forgive himself for the way he treated her. “He says everything that Abigail has wanted him to say,” notes Miller. “It feels so good. I think a lot of times, Chad and Abby have taken actions for the sake of the other one, even if it was heartbreaking for both of them. So for Abby to hear Chad say those things, it’s long overdue. For the first time in a long while, they’re able to see each other and connect.”
