'It's The Films That Choose Actors, Not The Other Way Around.'

SONU SOOD is one of Bollywood’s resident hunks with a heart of gold. One actor who keeps on giving hits after hits, but is never one to brag about it. None of that, however, takes away from his immense star power and on-screen presence. Here, Sonu talks to Ahad Sanwari about his time doing Paltan, his journey in the film industry and what’s left for him to conquer.

Sonu, you’ve done Paltan and Jodhaa Akbar, but also masala flicks like Happy New Year and Entertainment. How do you pick your films?

I do believe that it’s the films that choose actors, not the other way, around. You get movies, sometimes you get excited by certain roles, certain filmmakers, certain scripts and you like the film. But, like I said, sometimes great scripts are offered, and you feel that this is one film you’ve been always waiting for, and that’s how the film happens.
