The Scotto family has no problem mixing business with pleasure — especially when it comes to its acclaimed Italian restaurant, Fresco by Scotto. Matriarch Marion Scotto and her children Anthony Jr., Elaina and Rosanna (an Emmy award-winning news anchor and cohost of Good Day New York) have owned and operated the legendary Midtown Manhattan eatery, established in 1993, for more than two decades. “This is every mother’s dream—to work with her children, side by side,” says Marion, who is affectionately known as “the boss.” “We love this place. We love the people that we serve, so it’s a love fest.” Here, the Scotto clan sit down with chef Judy Joo at their wildly popular haunt to talk about food, family and famous clientele.
