Kim K catapulted the vampire facial into the spotlight in 2013 when she shared pictures of herself having the shocking-looking treatment. 

At the time, Kim, 37, said she’d ‘never do it again’ after a bad experience. Having found out she was pregnant just before trying the treatment – which involves extracting blood, separating the plasma, smearing it and injecting it back into the face to renew collagen – Kim had to forgo any numbing cream or painkillers.

But new research has confirmed the Vampire Facial – also known as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy – really can keep wrinkles at bay. So who else is jumping on the bizarre bandwagon?
