It's Unfair To Blame Cheryl's Mum

Not many people were surprised when Cheryl Tweedy and Liam Payne announced their split. But it’s been suggested that it wasn’t their 10-year age gap that forced the couple apart, but Cheryl’s close bond with her mother, Joan Callaghan – who had reportedly moved into the couple’s Surrey mansion after the birth of their son, Bear – that drove them apart.

Of course, Cheryl has hit back at the accusations that her mum was involved in the break-up, writing on Twitter, ‘I can assure you, she has nothing to do with it.

‘I am a grown woman who is capable of dealing with my own life. She is a soft and kind woman who doesn’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing whatsoever to do with her.’
