The former Man of Steel in TV’s Lois & Clark series was a six-foot, 190-pound stud when he snared interceptions as a safety on Princeton University’s football team and swiped the virginity of then-galpal, Blue Lagoon beauty Brooke Shields.

But the 53-year-old actor has turned into a man of lard and is gobbling supersize portions of pizza and fast food to find comfort because of his nose-diving career, says a source close to the actor.
