Conext Inverter Will Reduce the Levelised Cost of Energy

Kindly tell our readers about Schneider’s latest launch, its application and USP.

Schneider has launched the 1500-volt, 2MVA inverter called ‘Conext SmartGen’ and we are the pioneers in showcasing this product in India. The Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo is a great platform to showcase the product and we launched it in India just a day before the REI Expo took off. The objective of launching this inverter is to support the industry in terms of reducing the levelised cost (capex + opex) of energy for the customers. Mostly, companies focus on reducing the capex of the product. However, with the solar plants having a life of 20-30 years, it is imperative to reduce the opex as well. Thus, we have designed this product to help developers reduce their operating cost. This inverter can be used in large ground-mounted solar power plants. Aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ programme, this product will be manufactured in India for the global market.

Where will the manufacturing of the inverter take place? In what ways is the product smart?
