For That Extra Mile



If you ask any high achiever, whatever field they are in, to describe their success and how they are so good at what they do, you will often hear an answer like, “Well, it just happens.” For some, achieving success in their specialist field has been quite natural. Others have learned to accept that success demands hard work, sacrifice, and courage. It might be that they are humble, internally referenced individuals who let their results do the talking. Or, it might be that they have been doing what they do for so long that they have become unconscious in their actions, simply going through the motions on autopilot.

Replication minimises the alternative option of trial and error, and means that you can create consistent, predictable, repeatable results every time. Think about it. Why would you do something that delivers the precise outcome you were looking for only to do something completely different next time? That has to be the definition of insanity! Yet people fall into this trap every day.
