RLDA INVITES RFP FOR REVAMPING MUZZAFARPUR RAILWAY STATION

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has issued RFP (Request for Proposal) for the major upgradation of Muzzafarpur Railway Station in East Central Railway's Sonpur division.

The purpose of station redevelopment is to improve the experience of passengers by providing best-in-class amenities. Upgrade will be done through EPC contract model, at the estimated cost of about Rs 400 crore. The scope of work will broadly include construction of new station building, 108 meter wide air plaza over platforms for movement and waiting of Departing passengers, etc. Provision of second entry and integrating both sides of the city is an important feature of this development.
