OF all the issues that can arise with cars, faulty alarms rank up there with the more annoying. Simon Hopkinson, from Elland, West Yorkshire, found that out when the alarm on his new Renault Koleos started sounding for no reason, just five days after he bought it in March. He told us:“The alarm would go off randomly at anytime of the day or night, regardless of whether the car was locked or unlocked. You couldn’t turn it off; you just had to wait until it stopped itself, which could be any length of time.”
