With Mechatronics as its core competency, Brose India is shortening the path between development and manufacturing. The company has opened a new campus as part of a strategic expansion plan.
As the world’s fourth-largest family-owned automotive supplier, Brose is known for its core competencies in mechatronics including in sensor technology and software. The company develops and produces mechatronic systems for vehicle doors and seats, electric motors, drives and electronics, besides building systems for steering, brakes, transmissions and engine cooling. As part of its strategic expansion plan, the company opened up a new campus in Hinjewadi, Pune on February 25, 2020. Averred Ulrich Schrickel, CEO Brose Group, “This investment is not only a commitment to the Indian market; it is also a strategic move for the Brose Group. To improve competitiveness and efficiency we are further expanding the global engineering and IT service centre in Pune and shortening the paths between development and manufacturing.” “Speed is a success factor for our company. The market trends in the global automotive business rely on extremely fast and consequent results,” he stated. The Brose Group currently delivers mechatronic systems and electric drives to around 80 automotive brands and an estimated 40 suppliers known to use the innovative solutions in diverse vehicle applications. Globally, the company delivers an estimated 200 million electric motors and drives per annum.
