Crazy designer Emma Congdon launches her brand new Stitchalong to raise money for mental health charity Mind…
If you’ve been curious about getting involved with a Stitchalong (or SAL, for short), 2017 might just be the year to try it! A great opportunity to meet fellow stitchers online, Stitchalongs are growing in popularity with lots of different companies starting to get involved. Crazy designer Emma Congdon decided to get in on the action, and wanted to use her Stitchalong to raise awareness and money for a charity close to her heart.
For a good cause
“My very first Stitchalong is themed around mental wellbeing,” explains Emma. “It’s called ‘Quotes to live by’, and it seemed only fitting that all profits made from my charts will be donated to Mind, the largest mental health charity in the UK.
“As with a lot of quiet and creative people, I suffer from anxiety and have also had a period of depression. The experience was grim, but it made me a lot more self-aware, and taught me how important it is to look after your own mental health.
