John Deere’s new concept tractor can develop up to 300kW
The GRIDCON research project and its electric cable powered tractor are part of John Deere’s continued efforts to electrify agricultural machinery, and offers new opportunities for farms to supply their own energy.
John Deere presented the first fully electric tractor, the SESAM (Sustainable Energy Supply for Agricultural Machinery), in 2016. The GridCON tractor looks very different, as it lacks a cab and rows of batteries underneath the bonnet.
