In the April 2015 issue (issue 662) we go fishing for giant bluefin tuna in Nova Scotia, Canada. We tick this trip off as a huge success and one for the bucket list … The boats were very basic – commercial tuna, lobster and mackerel boats, 45 ft long and about 5 m wide; great fishing platforms but not that dry or comfortable. The water we fished was never more than 120 ft deep and green in colour – pretty cold at 10-12°¬, giant bluefin tuna territory!
