The coronavirus vaccine landscape is changing, and with nearly half of all eligible Mainers vaccinated, state officials and health care providers are trying to make it easier for everyone else to get shots. At the May 8 annual town meeting, Castine voters will be asked whether they support renaming the Upper and Lower Negro Islands, located in the Bagaduce River. Also inside, a Zoom program cosponsored by the Castine Garden Club and the Wilson Museum will return to the kitchens and vegetable gardens of the 1940s and beyond with an illustrated presentation on Victory Gardens by Lisa Lutts.
