This ethos is also seen in the new House Maya in Andermatt, Switzerland whose living spaces embrace the surrounding natural beauty of the mountainous region. Over in tropical Sanya, the architects of Sanya Wellness Retreat draw inspiration from the coastal landscape. Another country that exemplifies its dedication to responsible design and sustainability is Japan. Thoughtfully designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates (KKAA), the Itomachi Hotel 0 is Japan’s first zero-energy hotel. Created as a community hub, the hotel’s inviting courtyards beckon guests to enjoy the outdoors. We also feature the meticulously restored Rumah Kechik in Malacca which showcases well-preserved architectural features and traditional craftsmanship woven with a touch of modernity.
