Janani Janma-bhoomi-scha Swargadapi Gariyasi The meaning of the above sloka is Mother and Motherland are greater than heaven. Nothing can be holier to us than this land. If our Janmabhoomi is so sacred then the Janmabhoomi of our Lord Rama is all the more Holier and Sacred to we hindus. Yearning of the Hindus for the last several centuries became a reality when the Hon’ble Supreme Court ruled in Favour of the Temple on November 9th 2019. Just as the return of the Victorious Rama from Lanka which is being celebrated this date will also enter into the history as the date of Reclamation of our cultural identity. Aspirations of the nation coming true. Many thought that they will not see the day when justice dawns upon our society. It is a struggle which goes on for the last several centuries. Many have laid down their lives in this struggle to restore our pride. Lord Rama’s birth place is as sacred to Hindus as the wailing wall to the Jews. That the Masjid was built on the existing Temple was believed by every Hindu in this country, but in court of law mere belief and folklores will not suffice. Using this handicap people opposing the temple were questioning the existence of Temple prior to the masjid. But the ASI which did excavations in the premises gave conclusive proof that a Hindu structure pre existed in that venue. The Apex court accepted the ASI’s report that the Babri Masjid was not constructed on a vacant land and that there was a pre existing structure. There were many temples which were razed down during the Mughal period. Sri Sita Ram Goel has documented and listed around three thousand big temples which were demolished by the invaders. But three among those three thousand are very dear to every Hindu.
