Marwar India brings to you our first issue of 2015, which promises to continue inspiring our readers with tales of Marwari success from different corridors of life. Our cover story features Dilip Surana of Micro Labs Ltd, who, together with his brother Anand, has worked to make Micro Labs one of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in India with an annual revenue of $372 million. Side by side, we continue to trace the community’s entrepreneurial dexterity with stories on Ravi Poddar of Kolkata-based Ravi Auto Group and Rishabh Tongya of the highly sought-after contemporary jewellery house, Diacolor.

We also present you with stories on writers who leave us wanting more: Author of thriller fiction, Ashwin Sanghi and husband-wife duo Sumeet and Shashi Mittal of ShashiSumeet Productions. We round off the issue with a first-person account by Himani Dalmia, a scion of one of India’s oldest industrial families, who talks about her journey as a student of Hindustani classical music.
