Racial Discrimination has been prevalent against the people of Northeast India since a long time in mainland India. Even though the situation has improved over the decades, ignorance in the mindset still remains. With the emergence of the novel coronavirus, there has been an upsurge in incidents of racism in the country. This issue covers the double battle the people of Northeast are fighting against- COVID-19 and racism. Apart from the regular features, this issue comprises of interviews with- Dr Sajinglu Chai Pul, a Medical Officer from Arunachal Pradesh, who led from the front in making the state COVID-19 free and Kezang D Thongdok whose documentary film 'Chi Lupo’, won the Best Documentary award at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2020.
