The July-August 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 issue of 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙖 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 is out. Not a week goes by in India when a major film does not hit the screens. It is not just the producers and distributors, who keep close tabs on the box-office reception for these films. Tourism offices of most coutnries around the world also watch out for the next blockbuster in India as these films go a long way in promoting their destinations to Indian tourists, who have become the most-sought after group of travellers since the revival of global tourism last year. Aware of the almost-immediate impact of hit films on their tourism numbers, destinations have upped their game in making themselves attractive to film crews, with generous incentives and providing their best monuments and streets for film shooting. In this issue, we bring you testaments of what the film studios look for, what the destinations offer and how the market is becoming bigger every week.

In this issue, we also bring you a report from Visit Maldives Storytellers’ Conference that provided unique perspective on Maldives, through the thousands of tales that this archipelago, its people and its diverse flora and fauna have to recount to visitors.
