Highlights of India Today Tamil issue dated August 13th, 2014. Former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh who resigned from the Congress Party after allegations on corruption has recently written his autobiography titled as 'One Life is Not Enough'. The cover story is an detailed excerpts from this book that deal with the senior politician's revelations about Sonia Gandhi, the current President of the Congress party and her song Rahul Gandhi the Vice President of the country's oldest party.
A story analyses the verdict pronounced by a Thanjavur Court on the people accused for causing the Kumbakonam School Fire accident that took away the lives of 94 children way back in 2004. The story also gives a picture on whether adequate safety measures a rein place in all other private schools in the aftermath of this incident

Tainee Doctors across Government Hospitals in Tamil Nadu indulged in a strike demanding a pay hike and withdrew the strike after verbal assurance from the Governmentthat their demands regarding their salary will be met with soon. A story analyses the background. Cause and aftermath of the strike and also gives a picture on the other problems faced by trainee doctors apart from salary.
