It’s all about Love this month. Valentine’s Day is upon us and for the next couple of weeks at every turn we are going to be seeing love-struck red hearts with Cupid’s arrow running through their mushy center. However, this seemingly harmless celebration of love and romance has met with objection from religious fanatics and ‘disciplined’ cultural groups who look at Valentine’s Day festivities like it was an onset of a fatal epidemic. One can only hope that they have removed their monochrome glasses and will let the spirit of the season open up their hearts and minds. Let this Valentine’s Day be a day to celebrate love of all kinds, to foster peace and to bridge all our differences.
