Revival of construction equipment industry Infrastructure development is the key to economic growth. In order to bring the country on growth trajectory, the government has been striving hard to give a facelift to the country’s ailing infrastructure. As a part of this endeavor, the country’s infrastructure sector is all set to get a boost significantly with the rising demand for development of key infrastructure projects such as roads & highway, rural connectivity, urban infrastructure including metro rail projects, ports & airports, industrial corridors, smart city projects etc. In the past, many projects are stalled or languished due to lack of finance, congenial policies and proper execution strategy. So, proper implementation and industrial friendly measures will drive the growth of the sector. Ultimately, it will accelerate the growth momentum of construction and equipment industry. The recently concluded eight edition of Excon 2015 – South Asia’s largest exhibition of Construction Equipment (CE) is the testimony to the revival of theconstruction industry. In Excon, over 800 exhibitors, including 270 overseas companies participated & expressed their faith in the Indian market & committed to be a part of the country’s growth story.
