This Issue, we feature two distinct aspects of design—personal spaces and public spaces. During the pandemic, and after, the focus shifted to our homes, while at the same time, we realised the importance and relevance of well-designed public spaces. There’s another aspect that came to the fore during the pandemic—a new crop of designers and architects who had gradually started making their presence felt in the Indian design scape. On the cover, we feature power couple Akash and Poonam Mehta of AMPM Designs. The rest of the Issue is dedicated to public architecture. Each project that we have featured in this Issue gives us valuable learnings in design. How the architecture of the space should co-exist with nature, and have a lasting impact on the user, the inhabitant, and its context.
