Like residences, it is important to design Commercial Spaces thoughtfully since these are a reflection of the organization to its visitors as well as the importance it gives to its employees by ensuring their comfort. This June 2019 issue of INSITE focuses on Commercial Spaces and gives a look into wonderfully designed commercial spaces. Institutional Spaces are essentially meant to inspire and aspire people to contribute towards their societal responsibility, be it school, training centre, library or a community centre. That’s the reason, designing these spaces involves multiple considerations from the stakeholder’s perspective. The June issue of insite gives an insight into the journey and the winners of the IIID Design Excellence Awards. Tanjua B. K in the lead story explains the nine months of exhaustive planning and process of IIID Design Excellence Awards. This is followed by the winners who have received awards in various categories.
