20th August Anandamela has focused on Dipa Karmakar, the youth icon. Her performance in the Olympics and her struggle are narrated in this article. Some sports feature relevant in this craze of Olympics are also being included in this issue of Anandamela. Namely, features are on Michael Felps, Usain Bolt. There are also articles on Atanu Das the archer of Bengal who performed in Rio Olympics. There are also articles on P V Sindhu and Kadambi Srikant.

Along with it, there are six stories which all have a humourous undertone. The stories are written by Ullas Mallick, Ritika Nath, Jaydip Chakraborty, Sushmita Nath, Nabanita Dutta and Acyhuta Das.

The detective novel is also continuing in this issue.
